The Connection Between Thoughts and Words

The Word of God said as a man thinketh in his heart so is he (Proverbs23:7) and it also states that we are snared by the words of our mouth (Proverbs 6:2) As we begin harvesting negative mental images and thoughts that are not in line with the word of God ultimately we will begin to speak out our thoughts and see the negative manifestations of what we have said therefore setting the course of our destiny on destruction.

Jesus said, “The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth Speaks.” (Luke 6:45). Before I became a Christian I had a habit of saying I could not do certain things. I thought that I was not that smart or too quiet or someone else could do it better than I. But once I received Jesus into my heart, heard the word of faith, and applied this words which states I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me I began to change the negative self image of my self on the inside. My thought patterns began to line up with my heavenly Father thoughts toward me. I no longer saw myself as being inadequate. Now I see myself as Jesus sees me which is a world overcomer victorious child of His!

We will eventually become what we think. And we can't think one thing and become something else. If we allow ourselves to think negative, worried, fearful thoughts, then we will become a negative, worried, fearful person. We cannot think defeat and expect victory. We can't think poverty, and expect wealth. We can't think the worst, and expect the best. So let’s be imitators of God, as dear children (Ephesians 5:1) and glorify our heavenly Father by keeping our thoughts and words in line with His words of truth, life, and spirit!
