Put On God’s Eyes Glasses

The Living Word

I know this statement sounds a little comical and it did to me when the Lord placed the thought in my heart. Of course we know God doesn’t wear eye glasses there is nothing in or about Him that is defective! This is just a terminology the Lord used to express to me how he wants us to put on His vision. The definition of vision is sight, perception or discernment and eye glasses are a device used to aid and to compensate for defective vision or to protect the eyes from light, dust and the like.

Before we became Christians our vision; the way we saw and thought about things were very dark and cloudy as stated in (Romans 8:7-8The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God. But Glory to God he has made provision for us to see clearly as we daily partake of His living word.

In Matthew 6:22-23 Jesus said, “The light of the body is the eye: if therefore your eye be single, your whole body shall be full of light. But if your eye be evil, your whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you be darkness, how great is that darkness!”

The Holy Spirit gave me a revelation of this scripture. He said if our eye (meaning our perceptions of things, the way we think when operating on earth) is single, (whole, one with God’s word and in agreement with His ways), our whole body shall be full of light. But (if the way we think, or perceive things) be evil our whole body is full of darkness. Therefore if the light (understanding, knowledge, wisdom) that is in us be darkness (not in line with God’s word, will or ways), what a dark life we will have. We the church must constantly be clothed with the mind of Christ and put on the eye glasses of God by daily meditating on the living word of His. (THE BIBLE)
Scriptural reading
Psalms 119:130  The teaching of your word gives light, so even the simple can understand.
Ephesians 1:18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
Romans 12:1,2  "I urge you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, [which is] your spiritual service of worship. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect."
