A Trust That Will Never Disappoint You!

The woman whose daughter that was grievously vexed with a devil; came to Jesus and asked for deliverance for her child. She cried out and said have mercy on my child! Jesus response to her we see in Matthew 15:24-28 New Century Version (NCV)  was "God sent me only to the lost sheep, the people of Israel." Then the woman came to Jesus again and bowed before him and said, "Lord, help me!" Jesus answered, "It is not right to take the children's bread and give it to the dogs." The woman said, "Yes, Lord, but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table." Then Jesus answered, "Woman, you have great faith! I will do what you asked." And at that moment the woman's daughter was healed.

From the above verses we looked at the conversation between Jesus and the woman. At first it appeared that Jesus was going to refuse her request (but we know our Lord never refuses anyone who comes to him in faith or expectation of His power to meet the need).  Everything the Lord does or say has a purpose behind it.  I believe Jesus wanted to reveal to this woman that even if she was not of the house of Israel a daughter of the convent He was more than willing to manifest His goodness towards her demonic possessed daughter and deliver her! This woman came in faith and believed within her heart that the Lord would deliver her daughter and she received from Him her hearts desire which was deliverance for her child. God is not respecter of person but He is a respecter of faith. Jesus said this woman had great faith! She did not care whether or not she was of the house of Israel all she knew was she needed help for her daughter and Jesus was the one that was going to help her.  She did not care or let Jesus first or second statement damper her expectation. In verse 25 it says she came and worshipped him, sayings, Lord help me! And her second response of faith was “….yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table!” The Lord never put’s away any who fall at His feet in faith, which a needy trembling soul may do.  Her concern for her daughter sent her to Jesus and it was her faith and trust in the Lord which brought about the manifestation of her daughter’s freedom for an evil spirit!

(Mark 7:27-28)
27 But Jesus said to her, “Let the children be filled first, for it is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.” 28 And she answered and said to Him, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs under the table eat from the children’s crumbs.” His saying Let the children first be filled, shows that there was mercy for the Gentiles, and not far off. She spoke, not as making light of the mercy, but magnifying the abundance of miraculous cures among the Jews, in comparison with which a single cure was but as a crumb. The Lord manifests his compassion to the humble, which look to him for children's bread. He still goes about to seek and save the lost.
