God’s Passionate Love for His Creation

Matthew 25:34-40
Amplified Bible

34Then the King will say to those at His right hand, Come, you blessed of My Father [you favored of God and appointed to eternal salvation], inherit (receive as your own) the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.   35For I was hungry and you gave Me food, I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink, I was a stranger and you brought Me together with yourselves and welcomed and entertained and lodged Me, 36I was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you visited Me with help and ministering care, I was in prison and you came to see Me. 37Then the just and upright will answer Him, Lord, when did we see You hungry and gave You food, or thirsty and gave You something to drink?  38And when did we see You a stranger and welcomed and entertained You, or naked and clothed You?  39And when did we see You sick or in prison and came to visit You?  40And the King will reply to them, Truly I tell you, in so far as you did it for one of the least [in the estimation of men] of these My brethren, you did it for Me. In the above verses we see that Jesus associates himself with the hungry, the stranger, the homeless, the sick and the prisoner. Jesus cares about people no matter what state they are in, He cares for the lonely, broken hearted, the abused and yes even the abuser, He loves the sick, the mentally depressed and those who are not able to take care of them selves, the elderly.
He is very much deeply in love with what some may call the outcasts of society. Any of us might find ourselves in any one of these categories; but I want to tell you today that Jesus Loves us and has not forgotten about us and He is with us.              He said lo I am with you always even until the end of the World. When we call upon His name in faith, He will deliver and bring us up out of the miry clay of life situations.  Isaiah 49:14-16 says that God has inscribed us on the palms of His hands  But Zion said, “The LORD has forsaken me, and my Lord has forgotten me.”  “Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me. There are so many hurting people in this world and they are tired, and tired of hurting and tired of being tired, When we come to Jesus He offers us no gimmicks. When we come to him He said in His word “all those who trust in Him will never be disappointed”. He genuinely cares for us!  He will give us peace on the inside and restore joy unto us regardless of what it looks like on the outside. We can have God’s peace within our hearts ruling and reigning at all times.
And you might say how can I have this peace? It’s just by simply calling upon His name daily and trusting Him at all times, and thinking about him constantly longing to fellowship with him daily, like you would do with someone you are in love with.
Here are some Bible verses to help you get started.
  1. Psalm 34:18. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
  2. Isaiah 55;6 Seek the LORD while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near.
  3. Hebrews 13:5 I will never leave you nor forsake you.
  4. Isaiah 61:3To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the LORD has planted for his own glory.
  5. John 14:27 Peace I leave with you: my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, do I give unto you. Let not your heart be troubled: nor let it be afraid.
  6. James 4:8 Draw near to God and he will draw near to you.

God is love" 1 John 4:8.  The fact that the God of this universe loves and cares for the human race even when it’s in resistance to him and his authority is probably the greatest mystery of all time.  Not only did He create us, "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still in rebellion against Him (which is to go our own way apart from God’s way, His will, or His word.), Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
God tells us in Isaiah 55:8-9 "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the Lord.  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."
We may not be able to explain or comprehend why the Lord loves us, but we can believe it!  Though it may be difficult to grasp, it's easy to accept: 1 John 4:9-10 "God showed how much he loved us by sending his only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him.  This is real love.  It is not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins."
