As Christians we must get our standards of right & wrong from God, not from popular trends of society. Don't allow the society to dictate how you live your christian life; Allow the Holy Spirit to lead you.
2 Peter 1:4 says "And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires".
There is nothing like knowing God for yourself and doing His will. It is in His will that you will find purpose, fulfillment & contentment and not in what society dictates. A believer continues to believe. We don't believe just once; We keep on believing in and trusting God. We don't give up until we see result. Hold on the the Promises of God concerning your life, your children, home, family, marriage and career. Focus on God for it is He alone who gives meaning, significance, purpose & fulfillment to human existence.
Isaiah 55:10-13 says "As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.
Instead of the thornbush will grow the pine tree, and instead of briers the myrtle will grow. This will be for the LORD's renown, for an everlasting sign, which will not be destroyed".
He is faithful to do all that He promised. Be blesed and be ecnouraged.
