Worth More Than The Sparrows

Have you ever seen a worried bird with deep wrinkles on its brow, or one with groggy blood-spot eyes caused by sleepless nights of worry? Have you ever seen a bird worried about who would pay the mortgage on its nest? Birds do not worry or fuss because they have absolute trust in their Creator God the father, for their well being and survival. If birds are safe in His hands how much more you; The one He created in His image and after His likeness.

The Lord says, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?  Matthew 6:25-26

You and I cannot be compared with countless broods of sparrows put together. God created you and I with a special purpose to accomplish a specific assignment for Him in this life. This fact makes you exceptionally and eternally valuable in God’s sight- far more than the sparrows are. Your life has present relevance and future significance in God’s programme for the church and the world. 

You occupy such an important place in God’s heart that He cannot afford to allow you to perish like the lily, waste away like an ordinary bird, or drift into shadows like passing cloud. You are precious in his heart. And He has made abundant provision for all you need to attain a meaningful and purposeful life. Hold on to all of the promises He shared with you concerning your life, finances, children, spouse, career and health. He is faithful to do what He promised.

  

However,  you may say you don't really know what am going through and my situation and because of that you may find yourself losing sight of your uniqueness in God’s agenda and become depressed over the unexpected changes in life. The blows and billows of the present evil world may sometimes make you think that your existence does not seem to count. Cheer up!  you have a sure promise in Christ, you are not forgotten, you are not over looked. All will be well, why? because you are more than conquerors in Christ.  The floodgates of heaven are about to open over you, so don't give up or give in to the tactics of the evil one.  You are more valuable than the sparrows.
