If you have a Kenmore Smoothtop Electric Ranges or you know someone please pass this on. It is very important and can be dangerous and hazardous to you and your family. It has been brought to our attention by the ladies in our group that the surface heating elements on the range can:
- turn on spontaneously without it being switched on;
- fail to turn off after being switched off;
- or can heat to different temperatures than what you selected.
Depending on the model you have; Some models have been recalled however other models are yet to be recall. If you notice any of these, please do call Sears, Kenmore or call Consumer Product Safety Commision.
Also if you have little Kids please make sure you unplug the range from the power source when you are not in the kitchen and when you are leaving the house.
